13 (Headquarters) Battery originated as No 7 Company 2nd Battalion Royal Artillery, formed in 1757. The Battery served at the Battle of The Island of Martinique in the West Indies in 1759 and at the Siege of Sebastapol in the Crimean War in 1854. The Battery fought in the Second World War and then joined 50th Regiment Royal Artillery. The Battery joined 22nd Regiment as the Headquarters Battery on 31st March 1994.
